Men’s 5th place playoff – New Zealand 31 Fiji 7
New Zealand rookie Caleb Clarke scored his first World Series try in the opening minute and Sione Molia followed suit three minutes later.
The Kiwis were in complete control when Vilimoni Koroi found space through the heart of the Fijian defence, Regan Ware adding New Zealand’s fourth inside the space of seven minutes.

Kiwi veteran Tim Mikkelson split the line once more to score New Zealand’s fifth before Eroni Sau finally put Fiji on the board.
That would be the final scoring act, Fiji finishing a disappointing sixth in front of their vocal fans.
